American Heart Association

Instructor Course Requirements

MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER

 

1. If you are looking to become an BLS or Heartsaver Instructor, you must carry a current discipline card, which a copy of it must be produced before attending class!

(We offer Heartsaver & BLS certifications for an additional charge. Provider card issued prior to attendingyour Instructor class

 

2. Complete the online portion of the Instructor Essentials Course - This is a separate charge from the course and goes directly to the AHA.

Instructor Course Requirements

MUST BE 17 YEARS OR OLDER

 

1. You must carry a current discipline card, which a copy of it must be produced before attending class!

(We do offer ASHI CPR & First Aid certifications for an additional charge. Your provider card must be issued prior to attending your Instructor class.

 

2. Complete the online portion of the Instructor Developement Course

(You'll have access once payment is received for class)

 

3. Complete a Face to Face skills & Teaching Testing 


Please note: You can not teach your own classes until you've completed the online portion, face to face skills and teaching testing, submitted an Instructor application and be aligned with a TC.

 American Red Cross

 

Instructor Course Requirements

MUST BE 16 YEARS OR OLDER

 

1. You must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED  (or higher level) certification or equivalent

 

Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blendedlearning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. For more information, please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course.
